“95% of international students recommend Canada as a student destination” – Canadian Bureau for International Education

Discover Canada’s beautiful, diverse landscapes and stunning transitions throughout our four seasons. Our welcoming culture will charm you, and your new relationships will last a lifetime. Lovers of nature, lakes, and the great outdoors will be delighted by the diversity of Canada’s landscapes, which change as the seasons come and go.

Your High School in Canada

You will study at Vanier College, a post-secondary institution located in Montreal, Quebec, or the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) at the Albert Education Centre in downtown Ottawa.

Over four weeks, you will study English in the mornings and explore Montreal/Ottawa in the afternoons through various activities. These activities will be diverse and cover a wide range of interests, including sightseeing, Canadian culture, sports, and artistic activities.

Students will be supported throughout the program by school staff, as well as a designated staff member from AFS Canada. The staff member from AFS Canada will accompany students during afternoon activities and guide students through orientation sessions upon arrival and departure from the program.

Your accommodation while in Canada

Students will be arranged to stay with another exchange student in a friendly and open host family. The host family will provide the student with a safe, warm living environment, complete with nutritious meals and a comfortable private bedroom.

To support the care and hosting of the students, host families will receive a financial contribution to cover the costs incurred during the stay. The host family is responsible for caring for, supporting, and looking after the student as if they were their own child, helping the student integrate into daily life and feel like a true member of the family.
