Your High School in Australia
Tasmanian Government Education International offers students the opportunity to participate in a flexible study program, combining a traditional academic program with a variety of extracurricular activities.
- Excellent school learning environment with 100+ subject choices
- Students not sitting exams participate in cultural activities.
Students between 16 – 18 years of age will attend Senior High School (known locally as ‘College’). Typically, the year level at school is determined by age as at 1 January. If students are younger than 16 years of age, they will commence their studies in a junior high school, which offers a more traditional schooling experience.
Your Accommodation in Australia
GETI Tasmania manages the homestay program for international students in Tasmanian Government schools. Our homestay program is directly managed by our in-house homestay coordinators, supported by a 24/7 phone service in case of emergency. Homestay hosts will provide students with a safe, supportive and welcoming home environment, and offer the opportunity for students to participate in family, community and Australian cultural activities.
